Job Description:
As an Eligibility Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage prior to services. You will ensure accurate benefit information is documented and identify whether prior authorization is required.
You will handle:
- Verifying active insurance coverage via payer portals
- Confirming co-pays, deductibles, and coverage limitations
- Identifying and flagging services that require prior authorization
- Documenting eligibility information in the EHR system
- Coordinating with front-desk or scheduling teams
Experience Required:
- 1–2 years in insurance verification or front desk medical admin
- Familiarity with payer portals and insurance guidelines
- No certification required
